What We Believe
Centered in Christ. Rooted in Scripture. Guided by the Spirit.
Our Foundation
Our beliefs are shaped by the biblical vision of the Church as a diverse body (1 Corinthians 12), held together by love (1 Corinthians 13), and united in the Spirit as Jesus prayed (John 17).
We hold to historic Christian faith expressed through a lens of liberation, belonging, and contemporary worship.
We believe in one God — Creator, Redeemer, and Sustainer — who is love, who is for us, and who is actively at work in the world through the Holy Spirit.
We believe Jesus is the Son of God, the embodiment of God's love, and the one who shows us the way of liberation, healing, and new life. His life, teachings, death, and resurrection reveal God's heart for all people.
We believe Scripture is inspired, living, and transformative. We read the Bible with depth, honesty, and reverence — seeking the Spirit's guidance as we interpret it through the lenses of liberation, justice, belonging, and the life and teachings of Jesus.
We believe the Holy Spirit is active today — comforting, empowering, guiding, and renewing the Church. We seek the Spirit's presence in worship, prayer, discernment, and daily life.
We believe every person is created in the image of God, inherently worthy, and deeply loved. We celebrate the diversity of God's creation — including race, gender, sexuality, ability, and background — as a reflection of God's beauty and creativity.
We believe the Church is the Body of Christ, made up of many members with many gifts. We are called to love one another, pursue unity, practice justice, embody compassion, and welcome all people into God's family.
We believe love is the highest calling and the clearest expression of God's character. Everything we do — worship, teaching, community, and service — is shaped by the love described in 1 Corinthians 13.
We believe the Church is called to participate in God's work of healing, justice, reconciliation, and liberation in the world. We seek to be a community where faith becomes action and love becomes visible.
We believe worship is a living encounter with God. Our worship is contemporary, expressive, and Spirit-led — a space where people can bring their whole selves and experience God's presence with authenticity and joy.
We believe God's table is open. We affirm the full inclusion of LGBTQ+ people in every part of church life — leadership, ministry, marriage, and discipleship. We honor every story and celebrate every gift God brings into this community.
